We reply as quickly as we can. To save a round trip, tell us your username, your phone and OS version, and what you saw versus what you expected. A screenshot helps more than anything else.
Getting started
13 or older. We ask for your date of birth when you sign up and accounts under 13 aren't created.
Open Profile → Add Friend and enter their exact username. They'll get a request to accept — you'll see each other's completed dares and podium finishes in the feed once they do.
Ask them for the group's invite code, then open the Play tab and tap the join banner at the top. Codes are per-group and can be reused by everyone you invite.
Tap Forgot your password? on the sign-in screen. We'll email a reset link to the address on the account. If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder before writing to us.
Playing
Local is pass-the-phone in the same room — no internet, no group, no invites. 2 to 20 players.
Free Mode is an open group with unlimited challenges, where the group's owner marks who completed what.
Roulette caps the group at 10 challenges, then spins a wheel to pick a player and a dare at random. The owner votes each attempt up or down.
Because the group's date hasn't arrived. Until then you can still join, invite people and add or remove challenges — scoring just stays locked so nobody can finish the game before the day it was made for. The Challenges tab tells you when it opens.
Every proof photo is screened before it's accepted, and anything that looks explicit is turned away automatically. If a perfectly ordinary photo was refused, send it to us and we'll look.
Local mode works fully offline. Groups, the feed and Moments need a connection, because they sync with everyone else playing.
Your posts and Moments
On your own post in the feed, tap the ⋯ button in the top-right corner and choose Delete post. It disappears from your friends' feeds too, along with its reactions and comments. This can't be undone.
24 hours, then it disappears on its own. Anyone you're friends with can see yours while it's live.
Open the Moment, tap the menu and choose Report as inappropriate. Reports come straight to us and we review every one. If it's urgent, or it's about a post rather than a Moment, email us and we'll act on it directly.
Premium
Groups of up to 20 members instead of 4, no ads anywhere in the app, and every themed dare package unlocked — including ones added later.
$1.99 per month or $14.99 per year. Prices are shown in your own currency in the app, and that's the price that applies.
Open the Premium tab and tap Restore Purchases — that's usually all it takes, particularly on a new phone. Make sure you're signed in to the same App Store or Google account you bought it with. If it still doesn't come back, email us with the date of purchase.
Subscriptions are billed by Apple and Google, not by us, so they're cancelled there. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions. You keep Premium until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Refunds are handled by whoever took the payment. Apple's form is at reportaproblem.apple.com; on Android, request it from your order history in the Play Store. Tell us too, especially if something in the app went wrong — it helps us fix it.
Account and data
Open Profile → Delete Account and confirm with your password. This permanently removes your account, profile and saved data, and it can't be undone. You don't need to contact us first.
Yes — Profile → Edit Username. Usernames are unique, so you may need a second choice. Friends who already added you stay added.
Nothing above covers everything, and a bug we don't know about is one we can't fix. Write to daremelivethechallenge@gmail.com — we'd rather hear about it twice than not at all.
