The agreement between you and DareMe. It covers who may use the app, what you may post, how subscriptions renew, and the fact that you — not us — decide whether a dare is safe to attempt.
These Terms are a contract between you and Tommaso Villa, Italy ("DareMe", "we"). By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use DareMe.
You must be 13 or older. If you are under the age of digital consent where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission. We ask for your date of birth at sign-up and refuse accounts below 13.
Read this one properly. DareMe is a party game, and every dare on it has to meet one standard: safe, legal, and easy to refuse.
What is not allowed. Nothing involving heights, roads or traffic, open water, fire, electricity, extreme cold or heat, weapons, alcohol or drugs. Nothing that asks someone to be hurt, restrained or humiliated. Nothing physical that goes to exhaustion, to a time limit, or to the point of pain. Section 5 has the full list.
How we enforce it. Our own dares are written to that standard. Every challenge, dare, comment and username a person writes is screened as it is created, screened again before it is sent, and checked a third time on our servers — a check nobody can switch off from their own device. Anything that breaks these rules is blocked or removed. You can report any dare, photo, post or player from the app, and you can block a player outright.
You can always say no. There is a skip button on every dare. Declining costs you nothing but points, and nobody is told you refused.
We do not supervise play and cannot assess your circumstances. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from attempting a dare.
Never attempt anything that could hurt you or anyone else, break the law, damage property, or that another person has not agreed to.
Do not create, send or upload content that:
Custom challenges, group names, dare messages and comments are screened automatically and refused if they match prohibited content. Proof photos are screened for explicit imagery on your device. Screening is not perfect and does not make us the author of anything you write.
Every challenge, dare, post, comment and user can be reported from inside the app with the 🚩 button, and any user can be blocked from the ⋯ menu. Reports reach us directly.
We review reported content and can remove it, close a group, or suspend or terminate an account. Serious cases — anything involving a minor, a credible threat, or a crime — may be referred to the authorities. There is no appeal queue; if you think we got it wrong, write to us.
What you post stays yours. By posting it you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display it solely in order to run DareMe — showing your proof photo to your group, your podium card in your friends' feeds, and so on. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained in abuse reports and backups.
We will not use your photos in advertising or marketing without asking you first.
DareMe Premium is an auto-renewing subscription offered in two lengths:
| Subscription | Length | Price |
|---|---|---|
| DareMe Premium — Monthly | 1 month | $1.99 per month |
| DareMe Premium — Annual | 12 months | $14.99 per year (about $1.25 per month) |
Prices are in US dollars and are shown in your own currency, at the local price set by the store, on the Premium screen before you buy. Premium removes ads, raises group and Local-mode limits to 20 players, and unlocks every themed package including future ones.
Themed packages can also be bought individually as one-off purchases at $1.99 each. These do not renew. They stay unlocked on any device you sign in to, and Restore Purchases on the Premium screen brings them back after a reinstall.
Purchases are processed by Apple and Google, not by us, so refunds are handled under their policies — reportaproblem.apple.com for the App Store, or Google Play support. We cannot issue a refund ourselves, but tell us what went wrong and we will help where we can. Nothing here affects statutory rights you have as a consumer in the EU or UK.
Users on the free plan see occasional full-screen ads from Google AdMob. Whether those ads are personalised depends on the tracking permission you were asked for; declining it changes nothing except the relevance of the ads. See the Privacy Policy.
We try to keep DareMe running, but it is provided "as is" and we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid feature you have an unexpired subscription to, you may request a pro-rata refund through the store.
You can stop at any time: Profile → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you break these Terms, or if required by law. Sections 4, 7, 11 and 12 survive termination.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DareMe is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data or profits. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or €50.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
These Terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live, and you keep the protection of that country's mandatory consumer law.
If you downloaded DareMe from the App Store: this agreement is between you and us, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
We may update these Terms. The date at the top changes, and material changes are announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use DareMe after that means you accept the new version.
